RULES
Good morning, Omni 9000. Sensors indicate that you are fully functioning and ready to take over control of Generation Ship Nu-Sigma-Tau as it enters orbit around Sigma Iotia II. Your duties are simple…

As the resident computer system in charge of life support, you get to decide which officer to wake up first. Examine the following diagram carefully:

Nu Sigma Tau cryo-diagram

Now, choose which cryo pod to awaken first and let the crew do the rest. You only get to choose one! Whoever you choose gets to wake up the rest of the team.

As long as you chose someone who will make sure EVERYONE wakes up and STAYS awake, then you have successfully completed your primary task.

Here are the cryo-resuscitation rules:

1) Choose a direction for all crewmembers to walk during resuscitation
2) Pick only one pod to awaken
3) A crewmember will move a number of spaces equal to the number on his pod
4) Pods and consoles both count as spaces
5) If the crewmember ends his turn on an occupied pod, he will wake that crewmember up
6) If a crewmember ends his turn on an unoccupied pod, he will get in the pod and go into cryo sleep
7) If a crewmember ends his turn at a console, he will activate that console, which wakes up the two pods next to it
8) Once a crewmember is awoken, he will move in the pre-chosen direction a number of spaces equal to the number on his pod
9) There can be any number of crewmembers at a pod or console

So, Omni 9000, can you choose the correct crewmember (and direction) to activate? Remember, if one of the crew goes back to sleep during resuscitation, then you have not completed your task.

If you complete your duties successfully, there will be further tasks in the future. Stand by, Omni 9000.
