PatGame #010 – Crazy Susaning

RULES
Next time you are at a Chinese restaurant at one of those tables with the circular spinner in the middle – aka. a Lazy Susan – try one of these fu activities (inspired by this weekend’s dim sum wedding):
Set up a dozen glasses around the Susan such that a spoon – left “inadvertently” off the edge of an entrée plate – plinks each of them as it spins by. Also a great way to make the bride and groom kiss.
Stix Wrapper Target Practice
Tanya discovered that the wrapper of a set of chopsticks can be rolled up to create a makeshift party favor blower. Try to hit items as they go by. Rooster sauce is worth 20 points!
Food Guards
If there is a particular entrée that you want more of – but you’re afraid the other guests might eat it all – just set up a food guard. Put two bottles or glasses on either side of your favorite entrée platter and you will soon find out how perfectly willing most guests are to only eat the entrée in front of them for fear of knocking over your drinks. Even better are shim stix: Wedge a pair of chopsticks under the Lazy Susan, but over the Susan roller mechanism. That way no one can turn it and your favorite food stays in front of you all night!
Helping Hand
When you see someone looking like they are about to spin the Susan around to their favorite dish, surreptitiously move your hand in and just as his dish is about to arrive in front of him push the Susan that extra 10 inches too far. When he reverses it to bring it back, do it again. It’s maddening!
Beer Gusher
If someone has had too much to drink – or if YOU have had too much – the it’s time to create a beer gusher! Make sure their beer is within an inch of the Susan. Put a large unopened champagne bottle (or a 2-liter Grey Goose bottle) on the edge of the spinner, just barely sticking off an inch. Now, give that Susan a good spin! When it goes past the beer, if you’ve placed the larger bottle correctly, it will stay upright and the beer will get just enough of a shock to bring out a lovely gusher!
