PatGame #009 – Choose Your Own Folder Adventures

RULES
This is a game for Mac enthusiasts. You could play it on a PC, but it would be beyond tedious. I entreat you to try it nonetheless, regardless of platform.
Inside the first folder, labeled CYOFA, are two sub folders. One labeled YOU, and one labeled PAT’S HOUSE. Ever heard of “Choose Your Own Adventure” books? Well, get ready. Cause this is about as wacked-out a CYOA as you’ll ever encounter.
To begin, click and drag the YOU folder onto the PAT’S HOUSE folder. On a Mac, it will “spring” open. (On a PC, it will not, so just drop it onto the PAT’S HOUSE folder if you are playing with a PC, and then open that folder.)
Don’t stop there, Mac gurus. Keep dragging it. Choose one of the sub folders. Keep dragging. Keep opening folders. Eventually, you will come across one of 6 special folders:
• RED – DEATH: You are dead. Start over! And by that, I mean, re-unzip the zip file. Otherwise everything will be messed up.
• YELLOW – TREASURE: You’ve found treasure! Let go of the YOU folder next to the treasure. Drag the TREASURE folder into the YOU folder. Now, click and drag the YOU folder and continue your adventure.
• GREEN – ITEM: You found an item. If you want it, let go of the YOU folder and drag the item into your YOU folder. Now, click and drag the YOU folder and continue your adventure.
• ORANGE – DO YOU HAVE?: If you have the specified item, you may continue. Otherwise, go back.
• BLUE – INFO: You have found very valuable information. Or have you?
• GRAY – NOTHING/NO ENTRY: Nothing here. The way is blocked. Go back.
At any point, you can open your YOU folder to see what you are carrying. If you can make it into the house with at least 3 treasures, then you win…. for now.
PS. If you just realized that the “game” basically amounts to you dragging folders inside of other folders, then welcome to CYOFA.
